Polish net-to-gross salary calculator

Find the gross salary needed for a target take-home payment. This tool reverses the same Polish 2026 employment-pay model as the gross-to-net calculator, including cumulative PIT and social-contribution thresholds. It finds the smallest supported gross yielding at least your target; rounding means an exact match is not always possible.

Data: 2026

Enter data

Target net, employment costs, PIT-2, year-to-date figures and optional standard PPK. Fields marked with an asterisk are required.

How to use the calculator

  1. Enter target net. Supported ordinary gross pay is PLN 4,806–1,000,000; lower payments need separate health-contribution-cap review.
  2. Read this payer’s cumulative income and the all-source social basis from payroll records. Use costs and PIT-2 only according to accepted declarations, once per month.
  3. For standard PPK, enter actual employer-contribution income transferred this month. It is not automatically inferred as a percentage of the gross being searched.

Calculation details

Formula and calculation method

Net = gross − individually rounded social contributions − health − PIT advance − employee PPK. PIT threshold: PLN 120,000; annual capped social basis: PLN 282,600. A bounded cent-by-cent search around the continuous solution handles PIT-rounding jumps.

Worked example

For PLN 3,738.19 net, PLN 250 costs, PLN 300 PIT-2, zero cumulative figures and no PPK, the lowest supported gross is PLN 4,999.99. Social contributions are PLN 685.50, health PLN 388.30 and PIT advance PLN 188. PLN 5,000 gross gives the same net because of rounding.

Limitations

  • Only 2026 and one ordinary employment payment. Excludes PIT-0, 50% copyright costs, benefits, sick pay, garnishments, multiple monthly payments, benefits in kind and other deductions. Standard employee PPK only at 2%; reduced and additional contributions are unsupported.
  • Does not determine eligibility for costs/PIT-2 or final annual PIT. Verify inputs with payroll before negotiation or payment. The gross range is a tool limitation, not a prohibition on lower payments.

Frequently asked questions

Why can resulting net exceed my target?

PIT is rounded to whole PLN and contributions to cents. Not every net has an exact counterpart. We show the lowest supported gross reaching at least the target and the excess.

Can I use under-26 relief?

Not in this inverse model. The gross-to-net tool has a separate bounded full-relief mode; partially remaining relief needs individual payroll review.

Are my financial inputs saved?

No. Entered figures and results stay in your browser. They are not added to the URL, persistent storage or analytics. Copying and printing are your choice.
