Polish retirement calculator — ZUS balance model

This calculator explains a simple new-system ZUS pension model: the appropriate indexed components divided by confirmed average remaining life expectancy. It illustrates how the basis and divisor affect monthly gross pension. It does not forecast earnings, future contributions or indexation, or establish entitlement.

Calculator

Enter data

Indexed contributions, initial capital, eligible subaccount funds and appropriate remaining life expectancy in months. Fields marked with an asterisk are required.

Do not add OFE funds already transferred to the subaccount again. If subaccount funds are excluded from this basis, this model may be inappropriate.

240 is only an arithmetic example, not a lookup for your age. Check the applicable table, completed years/months and favourable-table selection rules with ZUS.

How to use the calculator

  1. Prepare verified indexed ZUS figures for the same calculation date. Do not mix dates or amounts already included in another component.
  2. Confirm with ZUS whether subaccount funds belong in your basis. The model excludes separate temporary capital pensions, prior early benefits and special schemes.
  3. Look up completed years and months of age in the applicable GUS table. Table selection can depend on application and retirement-age dates; it is not chosen automatically.

Calculation details

Formula and calculation method

Monthly gross scenario = (indexed account contributions + indexed initial capital + eligible subaccount funds) ÷ confirmed average remaining life expectancy in months. Displayed to cents; no minimum-benefit top-up is added.

Worked example

Arithmetic example only: PLN 400,000 contributions, PLN 100,000 initial capital and PLN 100,000 eligible subaccount funds total PLN 600,000. With an illustrative 240-month divisor, monthly gross is PLN 2,500. This divisor is not assigned to an age or a particular table.

Limitations

  • New-system model with a manually confirmed basis. No old/mixed system, early retirement, deductions for prior benefits, separate temporary capital pension, KRUS or uniformed-service schemes. Does not determine initial capital or entitlement.
  • No automatic GUS lookup, favourable-table comparison, annual/quarterly indexation, future contributions, minimum top-up or net conversion. Future tables and law can change. ZUS determines the decision and final amount.

Frequently asked questions

Is 240 months the value for my age?

No. It is an arithmetic example. Enter the actual value from the applicable GUS table under ZUS rules; it is not a prediction of an individual’s lifespan.

Is the result topped up to the minimum pension?

No. Top-up eligibility depends on conditions not checked here. The result is only the entered basis divided by the divisor.

Are my financial inputs saved?

No. Entered figures and results stay in your browser. They are not added to the URL, persistent storage or analytics. Copying and printing are your choice.
