Calculation details
Formula and calculation method
Line amount = unit price × quantity, rounded to cents. From net: VAT = net × rate. From gross: VAT = gross × rate / (1 + rate), net = gross − VAT. Round line VAT to cents, then sum line items.
Worked example
Two units at PLN 100 net with 23% VAT and one at PLN 50 net with 8% VAT: PLN 250 net, PLN 46 + 4 = 50 VAT and PLN 300 gross.
Limitations
- Summing rounded line VAT may differ by cents from VAT computed on rate-group totals. This tool consistently uses line-level rounding; it is not an invoice, JPK or KSeF generator.
- Excludes negative corrections, foreign currencies, margin schemes, reverse charge and product/service classification. Exemption requires an appropriate legal basis.
