Formula and calculation method
For C classes held, P presences, R remaining classes and target fraction t: minimum future presences = max(0, ceil[t(C+R)−P]). Allowed absences = R − minimum; if minimum > R, the target is unattainable. Consecutive absences while keeping the target: floor(P/t−C), only when the target is already met.
Worked example
80 presences out of 100 classes give 80%. With 20 classes remaining, an 80% target requires 16 more presences, allowing at most 4 absences out of those 20.
Limitations
- This is a mathematical plan. The default 50% does not establish eligibility for classification. Attendance alone does not determine every assessment requirement; current rules, evidence for grading and school policies matter.
- Handle lateness, excused absences and excluded classes according to school records. Targets are compared before display rounding.

Does 50% guarantee classification?
No. The calculator does not make classification decisions or replace current rules and the school’s assessment.
