Formula and calculation method

Estimated entitlement = 20 or 26 days × full-time equivalent × months ÷ 12, rounded up as described in the assumptions.

Worked example

An employee with at least 10 recognised years and a full year at full time starts from 26 days before leave already used is deducted.

Limitations

  • First employment, job changes, concurrent employers, carry-over leave and individual working-day length may require a different calculation.
